Here is a comparison of two extremes of love and hatred which also highlights the utter lack of sensibility in social priorities of Pakistani society.
Some people on the internet, such as the author of the post below, sometimes call us a Qaidiani Family.
Firstly my friends, the word is Ahmadi.
Secondly, I dont acknowledge anyone’s right to enquire about my or anyone’s faith, but to satisfy the curiosity of such people, we happen not to be an Ahmadi family. But if we were I assure you we would be proud of it, as I have many Ahmadi friends who are among the nicest people I know, and I can personally vouch for the fact that they are the most peaceful and also the most patriotic community in Pakistan, and it is a pleasure to call them friends.
To people such as the author of the post below, I would invite you to get to know your countrymen before forming an opinion about them, as that says more about you than them.
Atif Afzal, Pakistan
We won’t see many – or perhaps any – older people with names like Osama, Saddam, Faisal, Yasir Arafat et al. But we see many Osamas in their teens, Saddams in 20s, and Faisals and Yasirs in their 30s and 40s.
Its not a coincidence but a concious – and collective – action of a nation finding refuge in political Islam (read religious extremism and militancy) in the face of constant regression in all spheres of life.
These are two different social media updates of two thinking noble souls of Pakistan, and through their loud thinking you can gauge the level of hatred for the country men!
